Glass, Wood, Steel
It’s always rewarding to play a part in someone else’s work—especially when that work is as unique as this.
Ella creates beautiful pieces using wood and stained glass, and while her craftsmanship in those materials speaks for itself, she needed a way to safely and securely showcase those pieces outdoors. That’s where we came in.
This project focused on building a solid, reliable base to support her work without taking away from it.
Built for Stability
Outdoor art needs more than just good design—it needs to hold up to the elements.
For these piece, the goal was simple: create a solution that was strong and subtle to let the artwork shine.
What We Did
Fabricated a thick steel base plate for stability
Designed mounting points to securely hold the wood structure
Kept the profile low and clean so it wouldn’t distract from the piece
Built it strong enough to withstand wind and seasonal weather
Form Meets Function

The combination of wood, stained glass, and steel brings together three different materials—each doing its part. The steel provides the strength, allowing the natural beauty of the wood and glass to take center stage.
Built Through Collaboration
This is one of several projects we’ve done with artists who need practical solutions to support their work. It’s always a good reminder that craftsmanship doesn’t exist in a vacuum—collaboration is often what brings a piece fully to life.
And for us, being part of that process is what makes the work worthwhile.
