Built For The Road

Sometimes the customer shows up with a clear plan—and all the materials to match.
This project was a custom cargo box built for a travel van, designed specifically to carry a hydrofoil surfboard. The client sourced all the aluminum, hardware, and struts, which helped keep costs down and the project moving quickly.
Built to Fit the Trip
The goal was simple: build a lightweight, durable storage solution that would securely hold a specialized hydrofoil board while traveling across the country.
Everything needed to be clean, square, and strong—without adding unnecessary weight.
What We Did
Welded a frame using 1” square aluminum tubing
Installed 16-gauge aluminum sheet for the body and internal shelf
Assembled and mounted customer-provided hardware and gas struts
Built to exact dimensions to fit the surfboard and van setup
Fully welded and prepped for use
Customer-Driven Build
This was a great example of collaboration. The customer came prepared with materials and a clear design, and we brought it together into a finished product that’s ready for the road.
Ready to Travel
With the box complete, it’s ready to be mounted and put to use—built to handle the miles ahead and keep gear secure along the way.
