JEEP RUBICON WITH CAMPER

Sometimes a good setup just needs a little more support.

A young newlywed couple brought us their Jeep Rubicon camper with an idea for reinforcing the structure for overlanding. They wanted the added strength without adding a lot of weight, so aluminum was the right choice.

What We Did

Added structural elements to Jeep Rubicon
ADDED STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS

  • Added 2" x 1/4" 6061 aluminum reinforcement along the sides above the windows and underneath the bed.

  • Framed around the rear window with 1" square tubing.

  • Designed the rear framing to provide future mounting points for adding a storage grate.

  • Kept the added structure clean and low-profile so it can be painted and blend into the camper.

Once everything is painted, most people won't even know the additional framing and reinforcement are there.

And that's often the point of the work we do—making something good, better.

This couple can head out camping knowing they have some additional support underneath them.
